Self-guided Funchal Food Walk

If you prefer to explore independently, without a guide, this is perfect for you. It's the same food tour that I do with my clients, but now it's been written down and mapped so you can explore Funchal's cuisine at your own pace.

You'll receive the same insider tips, information on local culinary stops but with total freedom over your day. I’ve put together an easy-to-follow guide detailing where to go and what to taste.

All you need to do is choose a date so that we can make your lunch reservation and inform our local tasting spots. From there, you have complete flexibility. Feel like starting with dessert, taking a two-hour break, or changing the order of your tasting stops? Go for it — the route adapts to your rhythm.

Every tasting has been pre-arranged for you, from warm garlic bolo do caco and fresh pastel de nata to authentic, hand-mixed poncha. You will then enjoy a relaxed sit-down lunch tailored to your food preferences.
